ABOUT BILLINGS POW-WOW

Welcome to our family's Pow Wow, a heartfelt tribute to our beloved Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, Sister, Marva Jean Windy Boy and Uncle, Brother, Alvin John "Jay" Windy Boy Jr.  Who inspired us to create a gathering that celebrates culture, community, and remembrance.  Our grandmother had a profound love for pow wows, and she often expressed her desire for a pow wow in Montana during the month of November.

 

Driven by her passion and vision, our family came together to make her dream a reality for her.  Sadly, she passed away before we could bring this dream to life.  In spirit, our family really stepped up, committed to honoring her legacy and ensuring that her wish for a pow wow would come to life. Tragically, just two months short before we could make our grandmother's wish a reality in 2022, we lost our dear uncle and brother Alvin "Jay" as well.

 

In honor and memory of both of them, this pow wow is a celebration of their lives and tribute to their love for our culture and community.  It is our hope that through this gathering, we can create a space where families and friends can come together, share stories, honor our heritage, and keep the memories of all our loved ones alive. Join us as we carry forward their legacy and embracing the traditions that unite us.
